About this tour
Join a unique and authentic nature experience just outside Oslo! As your local guide, I’ll take you off the beaten path to explore hidden trails and peaceful spots in my own local forest. Together with my friendly dog, we’ll hike through beautiful Norwegian nature, reaching a stunning viewpoint before descending to a serene lake. Our adventure begins with a short 5-minute walk from the train station to the forest’s edge. From there, we start uphill to a scenic viewpoint. After enjoying the breathtaking views, we descend to a quiet lake for a peaceful break. Following the break, we continue uphill again before exiting the forest near another train station, where you’ll catch a direct ride back to Oslo. This loop trail offers a variety of landscapes and a glimpse into local life just outside the city.

We hiked for the first time with Oslo Nature last week and we couldn’t recommend them more! Also, besides the breathtaking views, we had the cutest dog keeping us company and making us laugh all the way. The two and a half hours flew by and we cannot wait to go back! 100% recommended for people who love nature!

Ingunn was absolutely an amazing guide! She was incredibly kind and always available to assist with anything. Super welcoming, friendly, and full of positive energy, she made the experience truly unforgettable. She shared so many great tips and told us beautiful stories about the city of Oslo, making us appreciate it even more. Her deep knowledge and enthusiasm for Oslo made everything even more special. Ingunn is, without a doubt, the best guide we’ve ever had
★★★★★
My partner and I attended this hike during our Oslo stay in early December. As avid hikers from Australia, we had yet to explore the hiking trails in Norway due to our inexperience with snow and ice. However, our guide led us through a beautiful snow drenched forest 20 minutes out of Oslo city that was pure magic. It was a truly immersive friluftsliv experience with a small group who could not have been better company. The guide offered the group cleats, which ensured a comfortable and safe experience.
