About this tour

Welcome to Oslo's urban oasis and a little piece of nature in the heart of the city. I want to share with you the authentic Norwegian atmosphere through hidden gems and delicious Norwegian food.

You will be surrounded by old and cosy streets, bridges, rivers, breathtaking viewpoints, traditional Norwegian wooden houses and a dramatic waterfall. We will walk along the beautiful river that runs through the city.
This is a part of Oslo that should not be missed on your first time in Oslo. I will share knowledge and give you plenty of recommendations.

All the food is made from authentic Norwegian ingredients and is typical of Norwegian culinary culture. We have carefully selected the best Norwegian restaurants to showcase. If you have any allergies or dietary preferences, please let us know in advance of the tour, so that we can offer alternatives.

The tour is evenly split, with approximately 50% dedicated to food and the other 50% focused on discovering hidden gems. The tour covers a 3-kilometre walk, primarily on asphalt and mostly flat terrain. However, there will be a few short but steep uphill sections along the way. The highest point of the route is 45 metres above sea level.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Norwegian Food Tour with Ingunn as our guide! From the start, she made everyone feel welcome and shared her deep knowledge of Oslo’s hidden gems. The food stops were incredible—delicious, authentic Norwegian cuisine that really gave a taste of local culture. We discovered beautiful, lesser-known parts of the city that we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting an authentic Oslo experience!

Oslonature was the highlight of my trip to Oslo! Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour both fun and educational. She went above and beyond to share hidden gems and insider tips, giving us a deeper understanding of Oslo’s culture, history, and architecture. Her storytelling was captivating, and she managed to keep the entire group engaged from start to finish. What I loved most was her personal touch—she was approachable, answered all our questions, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the tour.
