About OsloNature

My name is Ingunn, and I am the founder of Oslonature. I was born and raised in Norway, and nature has always been a huge part of my life, thanks to my hiking-enthusiast mom and my fisherman dad. As a child, I preferred staying inside, eating candy, and watching movies like most kids, but my parents always encouraged me to get outside and explore nature. Now, as an adult, I’m incredibly grateful they introduced me to the outdoors – it’s something I truly cherish.

I have spent much of my adult life traveling around the world, visiting 35 countries. It was especially one encounter with a local guide in Japan that made a lasting impression on me and would later have a significant impact on my life. I booked a Bamboo Forest Walk with thia local guide in Japan, and it was such an authentic experience. I knew I wanted to offer something similar here in Norway – a way for visitors to experience the country in a personal and close way, off the beaten path.

Whenever I travel, whether in Norway or abroad, I’m drawn to nature experiences and hidden gems. I want to experience a place through the locals – not as a tourist, but as part of the place. This approach is what we bring to OsloNature, where we focus on showing our guests the authentic side of Oslo, far from the tourist traps.

We’ve received hundreds of wonderful reviews, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. I have many exciting plans for the future, and I get butterflies just thinking about it! I started in 2019, and now 6 years later we are a whole team of local and dedicated guides. We can't wait to welcome you on one of our tours.
